What Age Means To Me, For A Man Turning 34 Years Old

What Age Means To Me, For A Man Turning 34 Years Old

I finally turned 34—thirty-four years on this Earth, the good, the bad, and the ugly. I still cannot believe I made it this far in my life. Several times, I thought I would not make it this far. I'm here, and I'm ready to conquer my 30s and my goals.

Before we begin, I want to share a list of birthday quotes for turning 34. Do not peak; the best is yet to come.

List Of Birthday Quotes For Turning 34

  • Success is not about age; it's about effort, commitment, and perseverance. - Unknown.
  • Your age doesn't define your success; your actions do. Dream big and work hard, no matter how old you are. — Unknown
  • Your potential for success doesn't diminish with age; it only increases with experience and wisdom.
  • Don't be afraid to start over again. This time, you're not starting from scratch you're starting from experience.

Just wanted to give you a heads up this is not a sad blog post or me spilling my guts out to you guys. That is not me. As mentioned before, I wouldn't say I like to talk about my struggles or what I have gone through. This blog is still about my weight loss journey, but I want to share what I have been up to.

What does this Mean to be Turning 34?

Every day, people get older and realize many things about their lives and what they want to achieve; some start in their 20s, others later in life.

What turning 34 means to me is I still have a shot to go after my goals. Everything I do has a sense of urgency, from running KPGNG to eating healthy, working out, exercising, and getting a better night's sleep.

It also means the experiences I have acquired in life, whether good, bad, or ugly, are part of my journey toward my goals.

What Is Next On My Journey To Better Health?

I decided to Revamp my overall health process. I have included to start measuring my macronutrients to better target fat loss and build muscle.

I have continued to walk and workout using the 5x5 Stronglifts.

Started Tracking My Macronutrients for Fat Loss

Learning to count macros can be difficult and sometimes time-consuming. Still, there are many apps you can use to track macronutrients. I chose to use MyFitnessPal

Learning to Understand My Own Macros For Fat Loss

Learning to count macros and build upon the knowledge can take some time to get used to, but I know it will pay off. When you start tracking your macronutrients, you begin to see your overall food intake, and it gives you a better understanding of the food you eat and what improvements need to be made.

I noticed some improvements I need to make to meet my macronutrients. Some of these improvements include adding more carbs.

Before, you could not pay me to eat carbs. I was afraid to gain weight and fat. As the month continued in October, I added more carbs to my macros.

  • The other improvement is adding more protein to meet my daily macro goals.
  • The other is lowering my fat intake and matching the intake I need according to my macronutrients.

As of now, I have made progress in my weight and fat loss. I started to notice muscle around my upper body starting to take shape.

Age doesn't Matter for Success

I know this blog was about me focusing on my health. Still, I wanted to share my progress as a man in his 30s. I know many men out here who think they hit a certain age and believe life is over, but they are not.

This may sound religious, but you are not too late or early but at the right time. Every one of us has our own timeline, and we must focus on our timelines. Discipline and consistency can go a long way.

Thank you for your time.
Don't Give Up. Keep Going.
